What is VoIP?

VoIP is an acronym for Voice over Internet Protocol. It is software. Quick Connect USA provides the software, which allows customer to make and receive telephone calls over data networks that we do not own or control such as the internet, instead of the traditional telephone network. Quick Connect USA also provides the cross over link between the Internet and the traditional public switched telephone network (PSTN) so that you can "call" any standard telephone in the world, as well as receive calls from any such standard phone. The internet is a collection of over 3,000 independently owned and operated networks that are interconnected with one another at various locations all over the world. The PSTN is a collection of thousands of independent regulated telephone companies. This technology works best when there is a direct circuit (such as a T-1) between the customer and our network operations center (NOC).
